2010 begins a new year and a new decade. After experiencing Barack Obama's idea of "Change", the nation is now looking to the opposition to provide a different direction. I suggest a few New Year's resolution to guide us to victory in the 2010 mid-term elections and to pave the road to taking back the White House in 2012.
-We resolve to support and contribute to candidates with strong, conservative principals over candidates who are marketed as "winnable" because of their ability to compromise everything.
-We resolve to stand for, fight for and practice fiscal restraint and responsibility, reduction of government intervention at the cost of personal freedom and the promotion of job creating, economy building capitalist growth.
-We resolve to follow up criticism of Democrat flaws with conservative solutions thereby nullifying any comment from them that we are just complaining.
-We resolve to take off the gloves when attacked by Obama, Pelosi, Reid and their media minions. Hit back and hit hard. Like Dick Cheney.
-We resolve to fight for the safety and freedom of American's FIRST. To lead the world in fighting for Democracy to combat the Obama need to be popular at the cost of empowering dictators and Marxists.
Resolving to stand for these core, Conservative beliefs will show the stark contrast between us and the Democrats. We may recall how most of the Democrats ran as 'moderates' then ran left with their agenda. We must not allow the same to happen on our side. Better to lose because of what we stand for than to win under the veil of deception. Time always lifts the veil. As it is now.
May 2010 be the year we begin the second Reagan Revolution!

Here We Go Again
As President Obama prepares yet another mass spending spree to attempt to spur employers to start hiring and move us away from a national average of 10% unemployment, I can't help but be reminded of all of those pre-approved credit card applications that fill my mailbox. Easy money. Bigger debt. A short term fix but a long term nightmare.
Billions of U.S. tax dollars are going to be offered to homeowners to insulate their homes. Supposedly this will create more jobs by the demand for new windows, new roofs and more efficient heating. This may sound good in theory, but as has been proven by the last stimulus, employers will choose to offer more hours and pay to existing workers while utilizing temporary and a few part time positions than to hire a slew of new workers.
Creating jobs cannot be done with a quick fix or a government loan. President Obama has no experience in hiring or meeting payroll, let alone creating the need for new jobs. What is happening now is extreme caution by a business community who has had the rug pulled out from under them and sees more government mandates, fines and regulations in their future. Dangling a carrot in front of employers to distract them from the oncoming environmental and health care costs coming in the future is how most see the administration's actions.
Fear of the certainty of what lies ahead is why unemployment remains high. As long as Pelosi and Reid continue to ram their expensive leftist agenda through the legislature, employers will be watching their wallets, keeping their staffing to a minimum and their operating costs out of government hands. The only way to create jobs is to drop the threat of "green" mandates. To actually REFORM health care to a less intrusive expense, not re-invent it as a government run agency set up as a tool to benefit democrats by controlling the free market.
Americans have got much smarter and have 24/7 access to news and information. And not just the news agencies that act as spokespersons for the White House. The golden carrot on a string won't create jobs. Until employers see a long term solution to the rising cost of hiring unemployed Americans, they just won't do it.

Politics over Justice
The Attorney General, Eric Holder, is on the defensive this week as he tries to justify his decision to have the masterminds behind the 9/11 attacks held on trial in a New York City courtroom. His choice of civil court trials for these men who proudly take credit for the deaths of thousands of innocent victims in an attempt to bring down the U.S. government, is meant to send a message to the world. Unfortunately the message will be a revelation of how special interest lawyers and politics can twist the U.S. justice system to rule in their own favor, fair justice or not.
Take for instance the recent comments of President Obama, while traveling through Asia. He stated "I don't think it will be offensive at all when he's convicted and when the death penalty is applied to him." So much for a fair trial and an untainted jury pool!
Holder assures us that security will be high and is not afraid of a retaliation in New York for his choice of venue, pointing out the civilian trials of the masterminds behind the 1993 WTC bombings. Perhaps he doesn't realize that the buildings that were bombed in '93 were brought down in 2001 by the same group of Muslim extremists.
The 'anti-everything military' attitude by the leftist Obama set is our new justices department mantra. They would much rather continue to expose top secret information and broadcast it for their fellow Ayers types than see justice prevail. On one hand they complain that these terrorist were denied swift justice, and on the other hand they plan a long drawn out public trial. The fact that these men were still allowed to live while the military built an iron clad case against them should be an indicator that a military tribunal would NOT have been the public railroading farce that Holder and Obama seem to be concocting for their own agenda.
This attempt to appease the left of the world will become yet another public relations debacle of the Obama administration. The wounds of 9/11 survivors will be opened and salted by the same people who put up the Styrofoam pillars and held the Obama fan fest in Berlin last year. Military tribunals are held so that civilian jurists are not put in a position of having to influence the direction of our world enemies. The lack of judicial depth and a broader world view of our President and Attorney General and their out-of-control egos will trample safety and security for the sake of image. Obama is once again passing the buck. He would rather have the blood of the terrorists stain the hands of a jury than that of the Commander-in-chief.

Why Obama is a One Term President-Reason #38
"What I think is appropriate is that in the same way everybody has to get auto insurance and if you don't, you're subject to some penalty, that in this situation, if you have the ability to buy insurance, its affordable and you choose not to do so, forcing me and you and everybody else to subsidize you, you know, there's a thousand dollar hidden tax, that families all across America are -are burdened by because of the fact that people don't have health insurance, you know, there's nothing wrong with a penalty." -President Obama in a November 9th interview with ABC's Jake Tapper
My first question is where was the teleprompter when he needed it? For someone hailed as such a brilliant scholar and an example of the true "common man", he certainly doesn't seem to exhibit these traits when sitting down to a candid interview. And when is someone going to tell him that though we may be required by law to purchase auto insurance, we are not required by law to buy a car?
Obama seems to be shooting off both feet with these remarks. He angers conservatives by his asserting that he can force Americans to make a purchase against their constitutional right. Knowing full well that his plan only works by weakening and destroying the private health care industry, those who voted against Obama in 2008 are being handed the ability to say "I told you he was a socialist". Don't count on any of these people to drink the kool-ade.
The flip-side of this is that many of the same people who lined up to vote for Obama and his socialist ideas will not be too happy when they find they actually have to PAY for Obama care. Many of his follower seem to think that Obama care means free health care for all. Those that will actually receive "free" health care are the ones that Mr. Obama deems to not have the "ability to pay". These are the people who would vote for Adolf Hitler if he was a Democrat.
In between these two camps are the independents. Most if which are the working class who pay high premiums and experience sticker shock when the bills arrive. In general, these people would be happier with their plans if the costs were lowered. Unfortunately for them and for Mr. Obama, even if they choose a "Public Option" they will feel the pain in the wallet. Tort reform is barely whispered in Washington these days. And with a White House and congress full of lawyers, the chance of lowering malpractice insurance, limiting payouts for lawsuits and cutting costs of prescription drugs is about the same as Nancy Pelosi being elected Pope.
Seeing that President Obama seems more concerned with his golf game than creating jobs, I get the feeling that he has no plans to spend any more time than he has to in the White House. His management skills seem to be only to talk. Delegate and make a speech. We just learned that his speeches don't win elections for his party. We see that he has no clue as to what "bipartisanship" actually means by his inability to convert any Republicans to his health care plan other than one appointed Republican in a heavily Democrat seat. Obama has revealed his true lack of touch with independents and moderates by his left-wing liberal actions. You can fool the swing people with talk during the campaign, but the proof is in the pudding. Obama is the guy the independents who voted for him didn't want to believe he is. Should he choose to run in 2012, Obama will have a hard time denying his agenda is anything other than the same as Nancy Pelosi's, the destruction of capitalism and a big government takeover of private industry.

They Just Don't Get Us.
The sound you are hearing is the left-wing spin of the media as they try to distance President Obama from to huge losses last night. On Sunday they were hailing the power of the Great Obama and his ability to bring the voters to John Corzine. They blamed Creigh Deeds for his inability to be as effective a campaigner as Obama so they and the President threw Deeds under the bus long before the polls even opened. Now, both Corzine and Deeds are being vilified by the Obama cult as having disgraced their Messiah on the one year anniversary of Obama's election with their losses.
The spin from New York 23 is that "the Republican party is in disarray". The reality is that a Democrat dressed in Republican clothing was exposed. A third party conservative candidate had a strong showing. Though a Democrat won, it is only for a year. This race is symbolic for the entire Republican party. The turning point. We have been reminded by Sarah Palin and Tim Pawlenty that we are Conservatives first, by our convictions, and Republicans only by our voter registration. The national and state parties need to read the message that we will not sit back and accept any Republican who they endorse. We will no longer just vote for any candidate with an (R) after their name. We are watching how they vote. We are watching what they do. The lesson from the 2008 election was that a moderate Republican CAN'T WIN. Gerald Ford was the last moderate Republican Presidential candidate and he was NEVER ELECTED to the presidency.
What the media doesn't get is that the sleeping conservative movement has been awakened and motivated. We have tasted victory in Virginia and New Jersey. The Conservative message is a clear message that attracts independents.(In contrast to the gray, moderate McCain message of "We'll do that too!") Putting the power back in the hands of the states. Using fiscal restraint to allow private commerce to grow and with it jobs and generated tax dollars. The Liberal message of the Obama administration is that we cannot make decisions on health care, jobs creation and energy usage for ourselves and that the federal nanny state must take them over. Let Obama, Harry and Nancy bang that drum for the next 12 months. It's to that drum that we will march back to more governor's mansion, state houses, and the capitol in the 2010 election.

Tax Reform for Liberals
As the Governor of the state of Michigan plays political games with education in an attempt to strong-arm the Republican led state senate into a tax increase, I am amazed that the way our local media is portraying the Michigan taxpayer. When Governess Granholm vetoed funding for education, they found a couple of die hard Democrats who said "I wouldn't mind a tax increase to pay for education". This reminded me of how so many wealthy Democrats will tell you that we don't pay enough in taxes. These are the same people who pay accountants and tax lawyers big bucks to find ways of not paying their taxes. Just ask Charlie Rangle. When they say "we" don't pay enough in taxes, they mean you.
Joe Biden likes to play the 'working class average joe', yet he owns a multi-million dollar estate in Delaware which was bought and paid for entirely by his salary as a U.S. Senator. He may have ridden Amtrack to D.C. but when he got there he rode around in limousines. His tax returns showed he itemized everything down to the Amtrack travel costs. Too bad he was so tight fisted when it came to charitable donations. Perhaps the money he saved by commuting to work could have gone to paying for a health care plan equal to his for his estate staff.
The members of the "Party of the People" live like Czars. Many now even have the title to go with the power and wealth. But since they like to say "We don't pay enough in taxes", then perhaps we should let them rectify the financial situation.
I propose an addition to our state and federal tax forms. One last section at the very end. First, a simple question that can only be answered with a 'Yes' or 'No'. "Do you feel that you are paying your fair share of taxes?" That question would be followed by a last adjustment to the return: If 'No', please add the amount you feel you still owe to the amount owed or deduct that amount from your refund." Any return with a small, symbolic amount filled in would be a flag for an audit. This would be a very revealing way to make the libs put their money where there mouth is. And who knows? It might bring in a few extra bucks toward paying off their multi-trillion dollar spending spree.

Absurdly Ridiculous Obama Worship
Breaking News: President Obama has been awarded the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize.
I am waiting for the work 'hoax' to appear in a follow up story but I am afraid it hasn't materialized. My first thought when seeing this was "Are you kidding me?!!". The man has only been in office for nine months and has yet to sign a peace treaty, broker successful peace talks or even bring waring enemies to the table, yet the Nobel prize committee has awarded him it's top prize for "his extraordinary efforts to strengthen diplomacy and cooperation between peoples". In other words, his trips to Europe to make speeches.
I guess since this same committee gave a prize to Al Gore, we know that it has now become the world's prize for the encouragement of socialism. Jimmy Carter should be furious and questioning the value of his prize. Bill Clinton should be livid as he was never awarded the prize after the Dayton accords. And Both George Bush's can sleep nights knowing that their "extraordinary efforts" will have the real long lasting results of peace.
Having just reread 'Theodore Rex' by Edmund Morris, I was fascinated by the "extraordinary" RESULTS achieved by President Roosevelt. He was awarded the Nobel Prize for ending the Russo-Japanese war. He actually did it. Himself! Hell, even Jimmy Carter got Anwar Sadat and Menachem Begin to sign a treaty. Richard Nixon thawed the cold war, Ronald Reagan started the toppling of the tyrannical Soviet empire and George H.W. Bush finished it. But it is now that the Nobel prize committee is handing out it's peace prize to Barack Obama -for his effort.
It is a sad day for Alfred Nobel's legacy when his award is given for intentions and not accomplishments. I for one will now look at the Nobel prize with as much respect as an honorary degree from an online university. The shock over this morning's announcement tells me that I am not alone. I can't help to wonder if they will hand out the prize for literature to someone with a couple of rejected manuscripts, for his effort. Or the prize in science to someone who burned up a couple of labs but never found any results, for his effort.
The Nobel Prize committee is clearly off it's rocker. Perhaps it's something in the Swedish water. Too much Absolute would be my guess. It's enough to make you want to boycott IKEA.

The Tax Dollar Food Chain
City governments are desperately trying to find funds to balance their budges. As usual they are looking to their state houses. States are trying to do the same and hoping for more Federal stimulus funding to do it. Meanwhile in Washington, President Obama has increased the federal deficit by trillions. People have lost their homes due to not being able to pay the money they borrowed from the bank. Health care is being overhauled because people can't afford the money they have to pay back their insurance companies. All of this borrowing and owing and nobody is talking about the real issue, living within our means.
Everyone owes money these days. As usual, our government will be seeking ways to increase taxes to balance budgets. God forbid they should take pay cuts, staff cuts, benefit cuts, to adjust to their current financial income. My city has NINE city council members. All full time. All receive a city owned car and driver. We are only one of a small handful of major cities to have a nine person, full time governing body. Detroit has been shrinking in population and economic base for years, but you wouldn't know it by the way our city government has grown. Ten percent of the city population is on the city of Detroit payroll. The state of Michigan has also taken a big hit in the population and economy in the last seven years. Again, no cuts to our full time legislature. Washington needs to stop this food chain of funding bailouts and let the cities chips fall where they may. Cost control needs to be their main priority. Perhaps if our elected officials learned some on-the-job-training of how to work within their own budget without having to borrow from big brother, they might build confidence in their constituents and create a sound investment for possible new businesses. Confidence in the economy means people spend money. When people spend money they increase funding into the treasuries. We need elected officials who know how to make money. And to get rid of those who only know how to spend it.

Who hates America Now?
When candidate Obama was campaigning in Berlin and Paris, he spoke of improving America's image abroad. To Barack Hussein Obama, we were a bully nation imposing our values around the globe. Thus we were hated by Islamic nations who enslave their women and use children as sex slaves. To Barack Hussein Obama, this was bad for Americans. What he failed to ever mention is that we were trusted as a guardian to free, democratic nations around the world. He neglected to speak of our government's shield of protection over those willing to stride toward building a society whereby all are created equal, and given equal opportunities to achieve success. Even when criticized by those same countries, we never wavered in the protection of their democracy. We were proud that we sacrificed of our own lives so that they could be free. But Barack Hussein Obama saw the world differently.
Having been raised in Indonesia, Barry Sottero (the name he went by when he was listed as Islamic on his school papers in Jakarta) learned to hate "American imperialism" from the very mindset that now plot to blow up our buildings, kill our countrymen and give us the choice of Islam or death. Israel and Poland are just puppets of America in their heads. As are any of our democratic allies.
Barry's mixed up tunnel vision is now U.S. policy. Somehow he thinks that we can end terrorism by getting Islamic extremists to like us. As if them liking us will magically produce a tolerance for our religions and social mores. Much more important to throw Israel and Poland under the bus to gain popularity in Tehran and to please Marxist nations than to preserve the rights and freedom of democratic nations. Barry is stripping us of our rights here at home, why should we think he wouldn't do the same abroad?
Now we are creating a world where free nations are victimized by our government's ankle-grabbing bend to submit to the pleasures of those whose only goal is to convert or kill. And they still won't like us.
Indonesian Barry needs to have an eye opening experience before he "rids the world of nuclear weapons". Our enemy's lie Mr. President. Taking away the weapons that protect us and our allies will not make a safer world. If you want to see how well your plan would work, try ridding the Detroit police department of all of their weapons. Then ask the criminals to throw away theirs. Why do you think crime is so low in Texas?
Mark my word. We are more hated today by the actions of Barry Sottero and his show of idealistic inexperience, then we ever where. His telling our allies that they may need to "go it alone" will lead to Obama effigies being burned in Warsaw, Tel Aviv and Seoul. We should be highly alarmed at the comments of the world's most treacherous dictator's speeches made at the U.N. this week. When the U.S. President is praised by the likes of Chavez, Qaddafi and Castro, then we the people should re-examine what kind of "Change" we are tolerating from Barry Sottero. This show of support from those who are also stripping their nation's of all freedom just backs up the warnings that Obama is a puppet of those who use the facade of socialism to mask the reality of dictatorship. Be afraid. Be VERY afraid!

The President in the Plastic Bubble
As hundreds of thousands of Americans marched on Washington to protest Obama's massive spending, he was in Minneapolis addressing a crowd of (mostly bussed in) union workers. The White House said they "weren't aware of any gathering in Washington". I am sure the Obama health care pep rally was only a coincidence. Today Obama will be making yet another speech on health care to union workers in Ohio. The President is being comfortably ensconced in his protective bubble. After only eight months in office, Obama is only speaking to friendly crowds and using the "I have the support of a silent majority" line. Keep telling yourself that Mr. President.
The inexperience of our puppet-in-chief has come to center stage. His constant contradictions and rewriting of his already delivered speeches show his lack of grasp on the issues. Especially when it comes to the health care reform bill that he demanded be passed before the August recess. Until it wasn't. Then he wanted it passed by the end of September...or Christmas. You know the bill don't you? The one with a 'public option' that may or may not be in it and the president may or may not be for or against it. I am sure his "silent majority" will support what ever he decides.
Yesterday the bubble boy went to wall street and warned them against any "reckless behavior". Hmmmm. Would an example of that be pushing a trillion dollar government health care overhaul when the economy is in the tank and consumer confidence is in the toilet? If the stimulus worked, we may never know because any positive result from it is being diminished by the threat of forced fines and taxes to pay for Obamacare and an Al Gore designed energy policy.
It should be noted that Mr. Obama is someone who hasn't had much experience in not getting his way. His reaction to NOT being beloved seems to be the typical Obama arrogant response; Make another speech and chastise those who oppose you. Nice try Mr. President, but your speech didn't even register with the American people.
We should all be forewarned that a failed Obama may become even more dangerous than the one who still thinks he was chosen by the world to "change" America. Bitter destruction may be on the horizon. Let's just hope if that happens, his own party will treat him as he treated so many others and throw him under the bus.

Words. Just (carefully chosen) Words!
Tonight's Obamacare Pep rally, brought to you by the liberal media, The National Teleprompter Company and the ghost of Ted Kennedy, was nothing more than a dramatic Obama reading the same old words he has peddled to the cameras for years.
"There are some out there who are using scare tactics."-This was followed by a story of a woman who lost her health insurance while going through chemotherapy due to a case of acne. Funny that she didn't have a name.
"this will be a plan that asks everyone to take responsibility."-Taking responsibility means making the right choices at the right time. If an insurance premium is automatically deducted from your income for health care, its not a choice. it's a government mandate.
"Here are the details that every American needs to know at this point."-I think ALL the details are the details I need to know, not just the ones Obama deems me to know.
"Insurance Companies will not be allowed to place caps on how much coverage you receive."-No mention if the government run system will have this option.
"No one should go broke because they get sick."-They should only go broke if they make over $250,000.
"This plan will be in place in 4 years."
-Screw those uninsured who die before 2013.
"There will be a hardship waiver for those who can't afford coverage."-'Hardship' shall include members of the Democratic party, anyone who gives to the Obama re-election committee, and recently naturalized Mexicans who came into the country illegally.
"Panels to kill off senior citizens...it is a lie, plain and simple." -Technically Ted Kennedy didn't kill Mary Jo Kopechne, he failed to assist her in getting the help she needed to survive. Words. Just words.
"The reforms will not apply to those who are here illegally."
-We'll make them all legal before we give them hardship insurance.
"No Federal dollars to fund abortions."
-We will just subsidise state funded abortions.
"I have no intention of putting the insurance companies out of business. I just want to hold them accountable.-And fine them out of business to pay for nationalized health care.
"I will make sure no government bureaucrat gets between you and your health care."
-Of course not. The government bureaucrat will be in charge of it.
"I will not sign a plan that adds one dime to our deficit...neither now nor in the future."
-It will add a LOT MORE than just one dime.

It's the Economy you Arrogant, Elitist Egomaniac!
President Obama is making headlines because, once again, he is going to give a speech. Dust off the Styrofoam columns. Bus in the cheerleaders. Supply the leftist media with their talking points. Mr. Staccato is going to send a tingle up our legs with his mind-numbing 'eloquence' and his 'brilliant' ability to read a teleprompter. Nero fiddled while Rome burned. Obama reads speeches while America crumbles.
As the 'media' gets ready to make the President's speech to congress a magical turning point for Obama (regardless of what he even says), national unemployment has exceeded the 8% cap he predicted if his massive stimulus was passed. Cash-for-Clunkers only helped Americans with jobs overwhelmingly purchase cars made by Honda and Toyota. And the cash they used was your tax dollars! The dealers want to know when the Obama administration is going to give them their Clunker cash. I want to know when the American taxpayer is going to be paid back for the $3,500 to $4,500 per car purchased?
Obama seems to have mistaken the job of President with that of a Director of Human Resources. We fought a war to get out from under the oppression of self anointed individuals and their titled land Barons. Now Obama is sidestepping article II section 2 of the constitution by creating more Czars then the house of Romanov.
The stagnant economy is the direct result of an environment in which only select industry is being allowed to grow. Obama is solely focused on his agenda of "green energy" and nationalized health care.
I can't help but wonder if the administration is so concerned about getting us to use less fuel and become environmentally conscious, then why not make massive tax cuts for small businesses and new start up businesses? Encouraging people to bring business closer to home would create more local villages with jobs requiring less travel time and energy use. Allowing these businesses to join together to purchase private health insurance would take the cost away from the tax-payer and make it affordable to the participants. Sometimes you have to look back at what worked in the past to map out a plan for the future. Theory's and thesis` won't stimulate the economy. Investment and confidence in sound, proven actions will.
President Obama needs to put aside his left-wing pipe dream for the sake of much needed massive job creation in ALL fields, not just those chosen by Al Gore and Ted Kennedy. Enough of the speeches trying to justify a radical agenda that didn't work in eighty years in Russia. Even the Chinese are driving Lexus` in Beijing as they build up their major cities. How can the nation of "sweatshops" and "low cost manufacturing" afford to loan us billions? Capitalism. We should try it sometime.

The Final Judgement of Ted Kennedy
On the night of July 18th 1969 Senator Ted Kennedy, intoxicated after leaving a regatta party, drove his car off a bridge at Chappaquiddick, Massachusetts. He escaped the sinking Oldsmobile and fled the scene, leaving behind Kennedy secretary Mary Jo Kopechne who drowned because of his failure to rescue her. Kennedy didn't notify authorities or rescue workers until 10 hours later. Two fishermen found the upside down car the next morning and called the sheriff. Divers discovered Ms. Kopechnes body pressed up toward the top where an air pocket would have been, which means she was alive at the time Senator Kennedy fled the scene. Kennedy did not inform the local authorities until he received news that the car and Ms. Kopechne's body had been found. In a statement released by the Senator he said "I attempted to open the door and the window of the car but have no recollection of how I got out of the car." Kennedy plead guilt to leaving the scene of an accident causing "injury". His sentence was suspended due to the citing of his age (38), character and reputation. (Just a reminder that Senator Kennedy would continue to be seen in public highly intoxicated and with young women for the next twenty years. Now he had a driver.)
To treat a case of manslaughter and failure to notify rescue workers as causing "injury" and to suspend sentence of a known alcoholic because of "reputation" is a travesty. Kennedy money (Ted gave Mary Jo's family $90,904 for their troubles. They also received $50,000 from the insurance company. They said they didn't pursue legal action against Kennedy because "we figured people would think we were looking for blood money") No autopsy was ever performed.
To combat the nickname "The Coward of Chappaquiddick", Kennedy aids marketed him as the "Lion of the Senate". Kennedy would continue his drunken parties from Hyannis Port to Miami well into the nineteen eighties.
Through his life Kennedy would be known as the Liberal champion of the poor. All the while spending 47 years in the U.S. Senate living off of tax-payer dollars and enjoying every perk that comes with the exclusive Senate club. Ted was never known as being generous with his Kennedy money, he felt that spending tax-payer dollars by 'spreading the wealth' was his calling and his good deed. This typical 'Limousine Liberal' had the hypocritical Catholic martyr complex.
Today Ted Kennedy will stand before God and be judged for his actions. I just hope Mary Jo Kopechne is given equal time.

Make Your Own Decision
While the debate lingers on about Health Care Reform, I am finding that when you contact your representative for answers you get more vague rhetoric and a shell game played with HR3200, the bill that came out of the Energy and Commerce committee and was almost put to a vote by the house before they left for the August recess. You know the bill, it's the one President Obama demanded be passed before the house adjourned. The one Nancy Pelosi said she had the votes to pass. There were no other house bills to come out of committee. So where is the confusion? I realize that now the Senate will produce theirs, but this is the so-called "peoples" bill. And I am sure the Kennedy bill in the senate isn't much different. I have read HR3200. The "end of life counseling can be taken several ways, so I am not sure I see an endorsement for assisted suicide. What I do see is an amazing amount of government control at a cost that is sure to bankrupt the U.S. taxpayer. It's not their money, so what does congress care? If you have government trained and paid health care workers, counselors, Dentists, Dental assistants, social workers, hospice workers, assisted living aides and advisers, then you have a GOVERNMENT RUN HEALTH CARE SYSTEM. This bill even allows for house calls to mothers with children. I am sure you know which program the mommies would opt for if they didn't have to wait at the doctor's office.
So read it for yourself. Check the facts. Remember, even Obama doesn't know what is in it. He doesn't even know who supports it. Yesterday he lied three times and said that AARP supports it. AARP said they haven't made any endorsement.
Copy and paste this and you will get HR3200 in PDF

The Democratic Party Town Hall Meeting
It seems the Democrats are going to do to the American people what they did to their colleagues in congress. Shut us out.
Reacting to the constant barrage of informed tax-payers questioning the socialist leaning government take over of the our health care, the so called "Town Hall" meetings are being replaced with conference calls or one-on-one calls with supporters. If they are not replaced, they are completely eliminated. The great state of Michigan only had one opportunity for questions when John Dingell refused to answer why a mans wheel-chair bound son would not be able to get medical help under the government plan. John Dingell's answer was that there are many bills in congress. Theres only one bill that is being sought passage for congressman. It's the one you admit to having not read entirely. And your one of the authors of it!
While I do get most of my editorial briefings from FOX news and Rush Limbaugh, I do keep an eye and ear to what the other side is saying. Then, as an equal opportunity voter, I look at the evidence. And here are the most obvious facts that put the Democrats in a light of questionable character:
If this plan is so important for America then why are they not quoting it verbatim as the brilliant savior of the health and welfare of America they claim it is? Why hasn't one Democrat said "I have read the bill and I am thoroughly satisfied with it's content"? Instead, we here "I don't have the time to read all 1,000 plus pages". It's your recess congressman. Sounds like a good time to get caught up on your reading.
If they truly want this to be "Bi-partisan", then why don't they hold bi-partisan town hall meetings? One Democrat member of congress and one opposing Republican. It would certainly maintain a little order. Instead, these meetings are filled with local UAW members holding tax-payer printed placards saying "We All Need Health care" before the doors to the general public even open. Many who go to these meetings are not allowed in. If the meeting is so important, then why don't the people holding these meeting go out and at least meet the overflow crowds?
Why do they feel they must rush this to a vote? According to the bill it won't take effect until 2013. It won't give anyone health care coverage any faster if it's delayed a couple of months to allow congress and the voters enough time to study it. To me, the rush appears to be an attempt to get this passed quick enough to be forgotten by the 2010 elections. That way they can say "We passed a health care plan and nobody was hurt" (...because we wouldn't see the damage until AFTER Obama was re-elected)
I certainly hope my congresswoman holds a town hall meeting because I would like to attend. I might even send a bill for my attendance to the health insurance companies that Nancy Pelosi is claiming to be paying us troublemakers. She doesn't mention that the drug companies are investing $200 million to pass this legislation as it will payoff in their return with tax dollars and members of congress to lobby.(If you an I were supporting the plan at the town halls they would call us community activists.)
History constantly repeats itself when we don't learn from it. The Democrats, it seems, didn't learn from their actions in the first two years of Bill Clinton's term when Democrats still maintained their 40 year hold on congress. The media was shocked at the outcome of the 1994 elections. And they sound very similar today with their constant comments about the Republicans being "disorganized", "without a leader" and "out of touch". It will amaze them how organized and in touch the Republican party will be when the American voter lines up behind the rallying cry of anti-socialized medicine, anti-suppression of free speech and anti-Orwellian tactics of dis-information.

My Obama Kool-ade Trip
Last night I had a dream that I took a sip of the kool-ade.
I found myself in darkness. Must have been the darkness and despair of the tyrannical Bush years. Suddenly, the media put their spotlight on a recycled Styrofoam cup that had the words "drink me" printed on it. Television monitors suddenly appeared all around me. "Drink it" flashed on all the screens. Newspapers unfurled from above with the words "Drink it" in bold black headlines. What else could I do? So I did as the media advised me and took a sip.
Suddenly the world was awash in a rose colored acid trip. Generations of hippies and flower children began to sing "We Shall Overcome" as they watched the Messiah appear from the Senate temple. On either side of him, God engraved words onto tablets in which the great one read with such eloquence and profundity. "You deserve a new car" the Obamassiah said. Then he pulled bags of money out of his butt and threw it to the masses. "Your home shall be paid for" and more money came out of his butt. "You are entitled to free health care", but he couldn't squeeze any more money out, so the crowd began to feed him their wallets. More money came out of his butt.
Then the great leader walked to Iran and took the hand of it's president. They then walked to North Korea and picked up Kim Jong and then headed for Russia. Soon all of the worlds despots and tyrants were laying down their arms and joining the Obamassiah in singing while they melted down all the guns in the world and turning them into windmills. They locked up the evil rich white CEO's and took over their companies so they could use their profits to pay reparations to all of the victims of corporate "Unfairness".
As the members of the media and Hollywood "activists" lined up to pay homage to the Obamassiah by offering their souls in exchange for just one more cup of Kool-ade, I was shaken from the awe of the Obamassiah's glowing halo by the sound of my alarm clock. Thank God it was just a dream.
I sipped the bitter reality of my morning coffee and enjoyed the cherished freedom of blogging the tale of my nightmarish, but all too vivid journey in the shoes of those who choose to live by the dictates of the chosen one. Give me coffee over Kool-ade anytime!

The Perfect Society
As the details of the Democrats health care bill are coming out, I am starting to understand what Obama and the Democrats are trying to do.
The bill calls for "end of life counseling" for those who are deemed by the government panel as being beyond productive and are causing a drain on the government's funds. It also calls for limited care for those that the panel deems "terminal". So much for Obama's call for HOPE.
The same health care "reform" bill calls for limiting the tests doctors can perform and the elimination of preventative surgery, such as tonsillectomies for kids. Even though this procedure is more dangerous on adults. And the performing of the procedure on kids reduces the cost of antibiotics and other medicines that will be used to combat infections caused by swollen tonsils. Here's proof that this bill is designed not for the health and wellness of the patient, but for the sales and lobbying by drug manufacturers. Congress found another trough to feed on. Every illness will require long term drug use instead of corrective surgery. Unless you are the President or a member of Congress like Ted Kennedy.
It amazes me how these baby boomer Democrats are so quick to put their parents into the grave. Statistics from the last election show that a large number of senior citizens sat out the election. They may be layed out before the next election. If this doesn't show you what is so important about voting than I don't know what will.
These are the same boomers who are so quick to get rid of the older employees at the office because they are 'too costly'. Older members of society are constantly being replaced by younger, healthier workers who are willing to work for a lower wage because they don't know any better. Once they are out of a job, they can't find work because of their age. They can't even afford to retire. And so Obama's answer is to pull their plugs and send them to the cemetery. The more I read of this health care bill, the more I feel like I am living in Nazi Germany and witnessing the attempt at building a "master race".
This opens the door for Republicans to fix a serious flaw in society's direction. We have so much to learn from the life experiences of our elderly. And from those who suffer life threatening afflictions. Now is the time for Conservatives to work on building an alternative to the disposable ideals of the Democrats in power. This society that is obsessed with unobtainable perfect health, and the constant need to be subjected to pontifical professors who push their warped sense of values on those who are forced back into the college classroom in order to "be competitive". Meanwhile our newly elected Washington leadership is re-writing history and surrendering our sovereignty in exchange for world popularity. In order for Republicans to squash this rise of masked socialism they must stand up for those that are being tossed aside for the sake of congressional pensions, billions for ACORN and so that Merck and Lilly lobbyists can fill up Democrat campaign chests.
Much Ado About a Show of Disrespect
His arrogance, the president of the United States, has shown his very un-presidential side. He has, with the help of his good friend professor Gates, turned a simple situation of a police officer doing his job into an act of anti-white racism.
I am a Detroiter. I am a part of the white minority of my city. My friends and neighbors are all colors. We view police officers with respect. In no way do I feel that my opinion of Mr. Gates and Mr. Obama are typical of all members of their ethnic background. That being said, I am amazed at the way the media and the left wing black activists like Mr. Obama, were so quick to go after Officer Crowley's jugular.
Lets take both stories: A. Gates says he forgot his key and was trying to gain access to his own house with the help of a friend when Officer Gates showed up and arrested him from his own home. B. Crowley says he was responding to a breaking and entering report, asked to see some identification from Gates and his friend when Gates became belligerent and refused to comply with Crowley's request.
Option A makes no sense at all. I have been in a similar situation. I was picking up some things from my brother's home in an upscale neighborhood. I had a key. But since my brother and his family were out of town, a concerned neighbor called the police. The police officer showed up and fairly curtly, asked for my identification. I explained my situation and gave him my drivers license. I was told to stand on the porch while he ran a check on my I.D. The neighbor showed up and explained her side, we met and I was allowed to go on my way. Imagine if I had refused to give my I.D? I know I would have been cuffed and hauled to the police station for my show of defiance and disrespect. Instead, I complied and thanked the officer and the neighbor for watching over my brother's home. The officer was white. If I was black I am sure I could have used the excuse that I was treated that way because of our racial differences. But I am white. And I know the reality is I was a SUSPECT in a report of suspicious activity. Until I could clear things up, I knew to respect the officer doing his job and to comply with his directions.
As I watch the media coverage of the Gates/Crowley episode, I am amazed at the people who are interviewed about the way blacks approach a similar situation. They all seem to feel that showing restraint and respect is something only blacks have to show. We all do in that situation or we could face a possible arrest for disorderly conduct, like Gates. I would think a Harvard professor would know how to behave when caught in a suspicious act. Why is it that black activists feel they should be exempt from showing respect for law enforcement? In my neighborhood we all know how to address a police officer. No matter what color, sex or nationality we are or the officer is, you say "Yes Sir/Ma'am" and do as they say and you will soon be on your way. That is, unless you want to stir up some headlines.
President Obama, who said "I don't know all the facts" was quick to follow that up with "the police acted stupidly". How did he know that it wasn't Gates who acted "stupidly"? All the evidence points to Gates being belligerent and refusing to comply with Crowley's request that he show identification. Obama's blaming of the white police officer because "as an African-American" he "knows about racial profiling" was a racial slur at officer Crowley. And though he back-tracked a bit, he has still not apologized. This eye-opening moment reveals that we have the most racist president in the White House since pre-civil war days. And with the help of his buddies in the media, he is in the process of destroying the progress of the last forty years of the civil rights movement by his reckless words and accusations and the media's need to find anyone to back up his stupidity.

The Morning After.
It's been six months since the liberal media held their coronation for Barack Hussein Obama and the Kool-ade they served at the "All Hail Obama" party seems to be wearing off. All of those sugary platitudes that spewed forth from their Messiah's sacred teleprompter have turned into a throbbing trillion dollar hangover.
It's the morning after. The independents have found the coffee pot and are seeing the first term senator/social agitator they voted for as the manufactured candidate who is nothing more than a card board cut-out propped up by the liberal elite and the members of the 'mainstream' media. The left-wing Democrats are still having their spending party and America is getting the tab.
This President has put his socialist spending agenda on the front burner and has done nothing to spur the economic growth to put Americans back to work. Add to that the next increase in the minimum wage this week and the burden on small business has grown much heavier. If you trace the nations economic problems to their start you can see they started not long after the first of Nancy Pelosi's minimum wage increases took effect, last summer. But these problems won't deter the Democrats. Joe Biden happily points out that this spending must continue to "keep us from going bankrupt".
And now Mr. Obama wants to ram a government take-over of health-care through congress by their August 7th break. Nothing in the proposed legislation is devoted to accounting for the outrageous costs, over billing and inflated prices for prescription drugs. Instead it merely puts the U.S. Government in the seat of Blue Cross and other private health-care industries. In other words, 'who cares how much it costs, the government is paying'. This is yet another way for our government to put more cronies on the U.S. payroll and to be lobbied by the drug companies. The pigs want more in their troughs.
In the latest Rassmussen poll for the 2012 election, the great Obama is tied with Mitt Romny. I think we can safely say the Obama honeymoon is officially over. Unfortunately we still have three years and six months of the marriage to get through.

Rights for our Enemy
I am so upset to find out that the C.I.A. had a plan to assassinate Al Qaeda leaders and never carried it out.
Those poor Al Qaeda leaders were just going about their business of promoting their cause through murder and terror when the evil C.I.A., under the leadership of then President George W. Bush and the maniacal Dick Cheney secretly decided to eliminate them. What about Al Qaeda's rights? First its Al Qaeda, then it's you and me. This tramples the U.S. Constitution and what it stands for. Those unwilling targets should be offered a seat at the table with our glorious leader Obama..(takes a sip of kool-ade)..and given a U.S. funded bailout to help them regroup.
Leon Panetta, the C.I.A. director appointed by Barack Obama, has ended this dastardly plan. I am sure a sigh of relief can be heard all around Afghanistan. Now, it is a matter of U.S. policy to protect Al Qaeda leadership and accord them all U.S. constitutional rights and freedoms under the defense of the A.C.L.U.
President Obama's "Change" is being felt all over the world. From the board room of General Motors to the caves of Afghanistan.

Where's the Beef...I mean STIMULUS?
The amateurish naivete of the idealistic egomaniac President of the United States is starting to bloom. Obama's veneer of 'brilliant savior' of the working class American is pealing off and revealing the failed socialist that has become extinct in the very European countries that he has been hailed and lauded.
If you give a man a fish...stimulus check, he will pay some of the past due bills, and still be in debt. He will not shop for anything new, especially a car. But if you give a man a fishing pole...a job, he will pay his bills and buy things. We are the "Man", and so are businesses. A bailout is one thing, a government mandate of what they will make, how many people they will hire and or lay off, what kind of benefits they must supply and how 'green' they must become is quite another.
The markets are falling, unemployment is rising as well as inflation, foreclosures and bankruptcies. Meanwhile in Washington the Democratic party has taken the opportunity of their majority and the recession to enact legislation to spend our tax dollars on Al Gore's extremist views and Hillary Care II. And how does this help businesses create jobs?
We need only look back at history to see the future. Jimmmy Carter..I mean Barack Obama will be voted out of office as a failed liberal and the newly elected Conservative president will send markets soaring and create new business opportunities by dismantling the bloated government waste of his predecessor. Let's just hope the Republican leaders of tomorrow can keep their testosterone in check so they can get elected.

The Jackass Party
I am scratching my head as I read about the "Clean Energy and Security Act" that Snidely Whiplash...I mean Henry Waxman and Czarina Pelosi are trying to push through congress. The fact that it's the work of two extreme left Californians should be enough reason for the rest of the house to vote "NO". See what good environmental regulation strangulation has done for the once thriving economy of California. Now they want it for the rest of the nation.
What really amazes me is that it is designed for areas like L.A. Force people to use less energy by taxing it out of affordability. That might be fine for sunny California, but in the cold, snowy winters of Michigan, we already struggle to pay exorbitant heating costs just to keep the thermostat at 62 degrees on a single digit day. Nancy and Henry should be forced to live in North Dakota in the winter on a minimum wage paycheck before they are allowed to even think of writing this type of bill. Just how far up their asses does Al "The sky is falling so buy my carbon offsets" Gore have his hands?
I do have faith in those sensible Democrats who are the real soul of their party. The ones with common sense like Harry Truman, who legislate as a representative of the people, not the special interests. I truly hope they will join the Republicans and vote this dictatorial bill down.
If this vote passes I will be interested to see how many people will be joining me in storming the capitol after the mega heating bills start coming this winter. The Republican party is practically being handed back the control of congress in the 2010 election. Nancy and Barack have thrown bi-partisan out with oil, coal, and private industry. And by doing this they are giving the Republican party a uniting issue and a standard to bear. Big Sister will be stopped! And it may happen before her party of asses is set out to pasture.

It's Almost 3 A.M.
Is he ready for that call? Is his Secretary of State? She's the one who posed the question of his readiness to "take the 3 A.M. call". The clock is ticking away...
I am wondering just who President Obama would "sit down with" to discuss the situation in Iran? The one who stole the election? The one who really leads and backed the stolen election? Perhaps the candidate who, according to the Iranian government lost "soundly"? -If he survives. Protesters are asking "Where's Obama?" in the streets of Tehren. After his last world apology tour he seems to have struck a cord of "Change" with the Iranian democracy movement. Why is he now backing off?
Japanese and South Korean intelligence have announced findings that North Korea plans to aim and shoot it's next missile toward Hawaii. Does the U.S. believe these reports? Defense Secretary Gates is moving interceptors to the islands. Looks like a solid YES. Perhaps the senile despot is just upset that Obama hasn't come to sit down and talk with him.
"Words. Just Words". President Obama used this during his campaign. Now it is coming back to haunt him. The king of image has used a lot of words here at home and through the middle east and Europe. Unfortunately, a U.S. President's words have consequences. Theodore Roosevelt's philosophy of "Speak softly, but carry a big stick" seems to have been sent packing with George W. Bush. The new policy seems to be 'Read eloquent words off the teleprompter and let the chips fall as they may'. I'm just afraid President Obama will reach for the big stick when it's too late.
The "Axis of Evil" seem to be doing their best to maintain their title. And President Obama is getting a real lesson on why George Bush's policies were the correct way to deal with these dictators and why Obama's own idealistic view of creating a world utopia purely by the sacred words that fall from his lips needs to fall by the wayside along with the campaign signs, slogans and Styrofoam pillars.

The True Test of Leadership
This will be the summer that defines the leadership of Barack Obama.
North Korea is at a boiling point. Playing his usual game of 'nuclear threats to gain more financial aid so he can continue to fund his weapons cache`', Kim Jong il will find there are very few extra dollars available to be used as a payoff to shut him up. With our deficit now in the multiple trillions, will Obama use our tax dollars for "Humanitarian aid" to pacify this idiot? Stay tuned...
Iran may be teetering on a revolution. With yesterdays election results called into question as valid, Ahmadinejad's opponent is calling for civil disobedience against the dictator. Will the real power in Iran, the religious zealots who really run things, step in? Will they allow the elections results to be examined? Will Israel use the opportunity of civil infighting to take out those nuke plants? Will Obama send Hillary as an envoy to "sit down with" whoever seems to be in power? Time will tell...
Will the government takeover of General Motors, the sale of Chrysler to Fiat, and the push to make us drive "earth friendly" cars, turn the auto market around? Will most people choose the security of owning a new Ford over a government owned model? If Chrysler is now owned by an Italian company, is it now off the preferred "buy American" choice list? Will the President try to micro-manage the new "Government Motors" by dictating what they produce? Will Al Gore be the new CEO? (Probably unlikely on the Gore thing, but it really wouldn't surprise me.)
Will pay-for-play, which was already tried by President George H.W. Bush but dismantled by the Democrat congress, be exposed as the smoke and mirrors it is by a continuing out of control deficit?
Government health care is coming. Will the Democrats unplug Ted Kennedy to make him a martyr for the passage of this final turnover to socialism?
Will Muslim extremists retaliate to Obama's bowing and scraping to the very Arab leaders who they feel have oppressed them and forced western ways on their cultures? Are we as safe now as we were one year ago?
This summer will show what kind of leader Barack Obama is. So far he seems to delegate more than any president in recent history by creating more "Czars" than the Romanov's. He has fallen for the pomp and pageantry. He plays to his own media and seems to be in more awe of President Obama than he was in candidate or Senator Obama. Will he be forced to make a decision that the media and his supporters DON'T like at the sake of his popularity? Only time and Obama will tell...

Let Us Eat Cake!
The Obamas took a $24,000 trip to the theater. And we paid for it!
The White House said "President Obama promised his wife dinner and a play". Perhaps someone should inform the President of the Washington D.C. theater community and of the many top notch restaurants all over our nation's capitol. It would have been much easier on our wallets. But when your used to tossing out trillions on wasteful buyouts and socialist programs, whats 24 thousand?
This "power couple" seems to feel very entitled to the finer things in life. Every Wednesday night they throw a lavish White House cocktail party with top notch champagne, caviar and celebrities dancing to big name entertainers. No doubt Mrs. Obama wears shoes a little dressier than her $500 tennis shoes.
The poor Obama's have both been known to take off at a moments notice to get away from the "pressures of the White House". Their first escape was a week after the inauguration. It looks to me that the man who desperately wanted to be president is now seeing the reality of the job. I think his idea of the presidency was what he saw on "The West Wing".
As for their trip to New York. The way they describe it is they just went out for date night. However, contrary to secret service policy, the entire route from the restaurant to the theater was revealed before hand and crowds were allowed to line up on the side walks. Extra police had to be brought in to increase the first couple's security. So much for a quite, romantic night out. Meanwhile, because of the second automaker bankruptcy, the unemployment numbers are going to take another leap. I wonder if those people who voted for Obama to save their union jobs, who now find themselves having to "sacrifice" their employment for the good of the environmental rantings of Al Gore and Nancy Pelosi, will be dinning out or attending a Broadway show? I suppose they can just eat cake!
Nancy Pelosi vs. The CIA
The Speaker of the House has decided that she has said all she will say about what she knew and when she new it on the use of waterboarding and other methods of extracting information from accused terrorists. I guess 'The Queen has spoken' and that's the end of that. HA!
Her Majesty seems to forget that even though she has the liberal media bowing and scraping to her every mis-statement, there are others who are not ready to let her forget her constant contradictions. And the CIA is certainly not going to sit back and watch their credibility attacked by a woman who has questionable family investments and has abused the trappings of her power as speaker.
Pelosi obviously has put her constituents of anti-government leftist lunatics above the good of the country. Why else would she demand the closing of Guantanamo but not allow the terror suspects to be jailed in her own district? Why she won't answer the question of when, exactly, did she learn about the use of waterboarding? Is she aware that one of the only three recipients of this technique, the mastermind behind 9/11, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, withstood all other questioning techniques and even bragged about keeping silent until his day in a New York courtroom? (Mohammed seemed to think the liberal lawyers were his captures).
I hope the organization that protects the interests of our nation has identified this inside enemy. I hope that somewhere in the organization there is an elite group of individuals who's job it is to rid the nation of this self absorbed traitor by exposing the dirty deals that have helped her climb to her position and fill her campaign chest. She has thrown down the gauntlet. The battle between Nancy Pelosi and the CIA is on. And I wouldn't want to be standing in her pumps!

Do As I Say,Not As I Do.
Once again the Washington press corps, otherwise known as President Obama's campaign staff, gathered for their annual dinner. The dinner, which usually consists of an M.C. poking fun at the sitting president and Washington bigwigs, followed by the president poking fun at himself, took on a new tone. Or should I say an old tone.
The party that accused Republicans of being insensitive and vicious for criticizing President Clinton's sexcapades, went on the attack. Wanda Sykes wished Rush Limbaugh's kidneys would fail, called him a 9/11 terrorist and then insulted Cindy McCain. President Obama made light of the White House's photo session turned terrorist scare over New York City by saying he grounded his daughters for taking a ride on Air Force One. To be fair, Gibbs did say 9/11 comments shouldn't be used for comedy. I wonder if he found the presidents reference to the NYC fly over humorous?
Since the president seemed to enjoy hearing Rush Limbaugh called a terrorist and laughed as Sykes wish him death, I supposed the new rule for comedy is "As long as it's not about us". Well the gauntlet is down so I will do my best to make fun of the opposition. Here's the rebuttal:
So nice to see so many politician here. I am sure Senator Kennedy crossed a few bridges to make it tonight. If you can't find him in this star studded crowd just turn out the lights. He's the guy glowing...and it's not just his nose anymore.
Before I continue, since tax season is officially over I just have one question to the members of the administration, did you pay them?
The ticket price for this dinner is kind of steep and we know everyone is struggling these days, so you will all be getting a refund. Geitner said to just send the bill to the treasury.
I'm searching the crowd for John Edwards. He usually feels very comfortable around members of the media. John always loves to be in front of the camera. Or is that in front of the women behind the camera?
Speaking of cameras, the President seems to be relying more and more on teleprompters and monitors to deliver remarks. Last night Mrs. Obama couldn't sleep. The president was talking in his sleep and the light from the teleprompters kept her awake.
A year after leaving Rev. Wright's former church, the Obama's are still searching for a new one. It's so hard to find a racist, anti-white, anti-American church these days.
Speaker Pelosi couldn't make it tonight. She is working on yet another recovery and reconstruction plan. It seems the last one didn't take..so it's back to the plastic surgeon. One more face lift and she won't be able to bang her gavel without doing a somersault.
Vice-President Biden was supposed to be here tonight. We told him we would send him an e-mail with the directions. Poor guy is still waiting for the e-mailman to deliver it.
And so my fellow Americans, it seems we don't have to be "sensitive" with our humor anymore...thank God! Let Obama and the Democrats change political correctness to suit themselves. It just shows that sensitivity and correctness were just a tool of the left to paint their opposition as just being mean. Who's being mean now?

No Surprises After 100 Days
What have we learned about Obama in his first 100 days in office? He is a far left liberal who is against capitalism and a free market economy. Exactly as he was pointed out by conservatives in the last election.
"Spreading the wealth" was what he told Joe the plumber he wanted to do. Then he denied it. But boy has he done it!
The Democrat party controlled federal government and the UAW will now control G.M. and Chrysler. Weren't these the same people who demanded the high pay and dream benefits for assembly workers and environmental extreme demands from the car makers that put theses companies in the shape they are in?
The President who wanted the two parties to work together sat by as Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid locked Republicans out of negotiations.
Being elected with a promise of "an ethical administration", Obama seems to have totally lied about this one, filling his cabinet with tax cheats, lobbyists and campaign donors.
The eloquent speaker who sent goosebumps up Chris Mathews leg can't seem to even greet the press corps without the use of a teleprompter. Part of being an eloquent speaker is knowing what to say. Not just reading your lines. His eloquence, like the Greek columns in Denver, was a pretty facade used to sell Obama.
To quote the President and his economic team; "It's gonna get worse before it gets better." So much for optimism from this administration. But we can use that same phrase when it comes to the Republican party. Much like the mess I make in the process of cleaning the house, it helps to separate the trash from the necessities. The trash gets thrown out. Hopefully Arlen Specter takes a few other fellow senators who have used GOP money to push their Dem agendas. In 2010 the party will be more clearly defined. And it's my opinion that after two years of the Obama dictatorship, a clear opposition will be the successful victor of the next elections. Specter was one of a very small group of Republicans who gave Obama "bi-partisan support. (Even though a larger group of Democrats defected their party to form a bi-partisan opposition).
After 100 days we find the nation pretty close to where Conservatives warned us we would be. We find a President who doesn't seem nearly as brilliant as his campaign team painted him. We find a Republican party weeding out the very people responsible for losses in 2006 and 2008. Specter didn't leave because the party changed, he left because he wouldn't be re-elected. The opportunists of the party who abandon principals and the constitution in favor of popularity and pork, will be expunged. The message of the Republican party will be clear in the coming months. And it's that message that will pave the road to overturning congress in 2010.

A Congress of Idiots!
Our congress is getting ready to vote on a bill that would tax Internet purchases. Too bad our members of congress seem to think they are above the constitution. Or they have just never bothered to read it, much like the bills they pass.
Article I Section 9 clearly states:
"No Tax or Duty shall be laid on Articles exported from any State."
I guess since Obama wasn't around to add his two cents when the constitution was written, we can just discard it for the sake of 'change'.

NAPOLITANO MUST GO!
The Department of Homeland Security was developed as an organization to bring together, manage and open lines of communication of all U.S. government and law enforcement agencies to strengthen the security of the nation against our enemies. Napolitano, in her short tenure as head, has politicized, weakened and shirked it's responsibility.
Napolitano's recent attack on conservatives and veterans as "right-wing extremists" (she has since made a very weak recant when it came to veterans) turns the department into a political tool of the Obama administration. Yesterday's peaceful protests across the country by thousands of rallies of thousands of people, was a great example of conservatives practicing their first amendment rights. In contrast to the left-wing protesters who have attacked WTO meetings, smashed windows at recruiting centers, thrown animal feces at PETA organized protests, used tear gas, and plotted to destroy trash incinerators. Where was Ms. Napolitano's warnings against the proven terrorist acts of the left-wing extremists? Even President Bush's appointee's never used this opportunity. The job of the Department is to keep the nation secure, not divided and afraid of each other.
Napolitano has recently announced the creation of a "Border Czar" to bring together all sources of law enforcement and government agencies to secure the borders. Excuse me, but isn't that the job of the head of Homeland Security?
Here's a suggestion to President Obama. Eliminate Homeland Security and turn it back over to the Department of Defense. Since he wants to bring our troops home from Iraq and there are no jobs for them here, they can be stationed at our southern borders and patrol against Mexicans coming here and taking the now sought after jobs.
Napolitano has turned the Department of Homeland Security to one of INSECURITY. She has already passed the border buck to her 'CZAR'. She has embarrassingly displayed her lack of leadership and communication skills. This cabinet secretary must GO! Of course, when you have a Treasury Secretary who doesn't know how to use Turbo Tax, why should we think the Homeland Security Secretary should know how to keep us secure?

It's About Energy Stupid!
As I lay awake trying to solve the world's economic woes I found myself falling for the distractions created by the Democratic party. The latest one being the false impression that people stopped buying SUV's because they wanted environmentally friendly cars. What a load of crap!
SUV's were so popular because of safety and space. Soccer and hockey mom's could cart half the team to practice and not have to worry about being crushed in a roll over accident. It wasn't until the cost of filling the tank went up that sales of the vehicles went down. Unfortunately, by the time the gas prices went down the housing market and wall street crashed. Forcing everyone to drive cars that require less gas will mean less gas stations will be needed. So much for creating jobs.
Now lets go to the housing market. Millions of low income homeowners achieved their loans through questionable practices of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. They were high risk customers to begin with. Add the increasing home heating costs (the housing markets collapse began in the low-income northern Midwest) and increasing auto fuel costs. They didn't have a chance. And the Federal Reserve's answer was to lower interest rates. This brought on board those homeowners who kept refinancing to get a better rate, but were spending the savings on increased energy and fuel bills.
Businesses also had to adjust to the increasing cost of energy. From operations costs, to shipping and receiving costs, to the costs of paying employees a wage that would be more than just to cover the drive to work. It didn't help when the Pelosi congress voted a huge jump in the minimum wage. States that increased taxes at this time just added to the job losses.
The Obama administration wants to create windmills and solar panels to fix the energy crisis and create jobs. Once they are up and running, how many jobs will it take to turn a windmill? The only future job I see in demand is the person who scrapes dead bugs and birds off the windmill blades and solar panels.
Instead of bankrupting the treasury to hand out checks to big businesses and banks, the goal of our government should be to generate commerce. To do that you need to put people to work. When President Obama starts bringing hundreds of thousands of members of the military home, they are going to want jobs. Where does he think they are going to work with unemployment growing by leaps and bounds? Again, the answer is ENERGY.
This is where the Republicans need to get on message. Resurrect "Drill here. Drill now!". The only business the U.S. should be nationalizing is energy. The U.S. needs to not only be energy self sufficient, it needs to make money exporting energy for profit. No more bowing down to Saudi Kings. We need to go after their market. We need to increase our oil refining and production capacity. We won't have to spend money and lives protecting their 'black gold' when we have our own. We also need to convert our power grids to increased nuclear power. An increased dependency on nuclear energy would allow more of our oil and coal to be exported for profit.
To begin the job creation, we turn over the construction, security and operations of new refineries, oil rigs, nuclear power and clean coal production plants to the military. Guarantee jobs for service personnel who return from active duty. Recruit security and building experts into military service. Employ out of work and under employed former military persons. And the new construction should be built as anti-terrorism fortresses. Because they will be targets. This plan would free up civilian jobs and create a working consumer base. They would spend money. And lowering fuel costs would put money back into the pockets of everyone. Export profits would pay back the money used to create this energy program.
Meanwhile we let the private sector build the windmills and solar panels. Make it a choice, not a mandate. If there is such a demand for "Green Energy" then they will do just fine on their own because that's how capitalism works. Personally, I hate the sight of those giant windmills cluttering up the pristine countryside as a reminder of jobs lost.

OBAMA: The Musical -it's been done.

The rise of Barack Obama is hailed by the liberal media as a unique rise to power of the underprivileged. The man of the people, beloved by his fellow country men. The working man triumphs over the aristocracy. Unique? Change the name from Obama to Evita and you have a thirty year old musical that mirrors today's events.
"I came from the people, they need to adore me, so Christian Dior me." The community organizer from Chicago is not very different from the actress activist who vowed to lift up the masses from the lower class. She organized a relief concert for earthquake victims and secured government funding to rebuild the neighborhoods.
Both use/used the image of the common man/woman breaking the glass ceiling by wrapping themselves in designer duds and hob-nobbing with the elite.
"The actress hasn't learned the line you'd like to hear". Both Obama and Evita use/used anti-government and anti-capitalism to inflame the masses. While Eve Peron got her lines from a script, Obama gets his from the teleprompter.
"And the money kept rolling out in all directions." The Peron's depleted the Argentine treasury by literally handing out cash and prizes with lotteries and give aways. Playing Robin Hood by buying the support of the lower class. Obama has initiated the largest treasury give away ever. States and organizations have to apply for "stimulus funding". A lottery.
"Let's hear it for the Rainbow Tour, it's been an incredible success". Evita's handlers hailed her European tour as a success even before it was finished. As a trip used to improve the image of the Perones (And deposit a few million into secret bank accounts) it proved to crack the facade of the actress and her dictator husband. The only world leader to show her adulation was fellow dictator Francisco Franco. While accomplishing little, the trip was hailed in the state run press of Buenos Aries as a triumph. Sound familiar?
One can only wonder what other lyrics from the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical will find their way into the Obama saga. Will Hillary be singing "Another suitcase in another Hall"? Will Geithner hear "Goodnight and Thank You"? While Obama is "High Flying, Adored" at the moment, will he be writing a swansong of "Don't Cry for Me" in four years time?
This entry was too much fun to write and has prompted me to listen to the Evita soundtrack once again. For a laugh of your own, get a hold of it and listen for yourself. Just substitute OBAMA for EVITA.

Time for a humor break...
It seems when members of the media recently called in to a White House teleconference with Hillary Clinton, they were surprised to reach a phone sex line. The White House promised the mix-up would never happen again.
On a more serious note. Bill Clinton, when recently calling a phone sex line, was surprised to reach Hillary Clinton.
The former president will be recuperating at his home in Chappaqua.

Change for the sake of Obama.
I'm reading the morning news about the firing of GM's Rick Wagoner by the Obama administration. While the end result of this action is something only time will tell, I can't help view it as a knee jerk reaction to recent polls that show a majority of the country is against any more bailout funds going to the big three or any corporation or banks.
A new CEO at GM may bring a different game plan to restructuring. Lord knows they need the funding to get through the government caused housing market collapse that killed their business. But I can't help think what the message the White House is trying to send by taking credit for Wagoner's removal. It appears like GM has failed in all attempts toward restructuring. Our community organizer-in-chief, with his vast experience in business (tongue in cheek) says he is not pleased with the results so far. Obama doesn't like to see his poll numbers slide. Especially as he heads off to a G20 summit in Europe where his 'world leader' popularity has nose dived after his demands for a "global new deal" along with Prime Minister Brown.
Was the Wagoner firing a move with a plan or was it a move to make him the fall guy so Obama won't lose poll numbers when he hands out the next check? Even Jennifer Granholm is calling Wagoner a "sacrificial lamb". But what was he sacrificed for? GM now looks like it is in total disarray after the surprise firing announcement. The timing is really bad for GM and really good for the White House. Had Wagoner announced his resignation as a part of the new plan, GM would have been able to use it as a consumer confidence builder. But then Obama wouldn't be able to take the credit. The Presidential ego seems to be running the West wing.
Once again Obama is investing in his image instead of the good of the country. Is not the goal here to get people to buy domestic made cars again so the American tax-payer can see a return on the bailout investment? Who would buy from a company who's survival plan is "unacceptable" and appears on the verge of having government loans recalled? Obama has shown such a lack of leadership on this one by trying to improve his image that I have to wonder if he truly is the socialist out to destroy capitalism. When car GM sales drop even more after this dog-and-pony show from the White House, then April's bloodbath at the dealerships will come directly from the erratic sword of Barack Obama.

How Stupid is This Guy?!?
O.K. I am getting tired of pointing out the idiocy of our commander-in-chief. But he never stops displaying his cliff notes and cheat sheets.
I previously pointed out that watching the President give a speech was like watching someone at a tennis match. Many in the press noticed also. So, rather than memorizing his speech and using the teleprompter to guide him along, President Obama traded in the transparent screens for a large monitor on the opposite side of the East Room as his podium. This way, he would appear to be speaking directly to the America people. My first thought was "Is he reading a cue card next to the camera?". His eyes would move from left to right as he read the monitor. It was almost as annoying as the tennis game moves.
My fellow Americans. We have, not an eloquent and cerebral chief executive, but an actor who can't memorize his lines! Someone apparently forgot to tell Obama before appearing on 60 minutes that the current economic crisis isn't funny. Too bad CBS wouldn't let him bring that monitor. Has a sitting president ever been asked on national television "Are you punch drunk?"
What seems to be coming to the light is that we have the first president who was an image built up to win over the electorate, but couldn't live up to that image and is showing to be a puppet put into the oval office by leftist special interest groups.
I must have missed the want ad;
HELP WANTED: Middle age male from a diverse background. Must be able to read speeches with eloquence. Memorization not necessary. Photogenic family a plus! Will be required to spend two years training in minimum work environment. Many perks. Following this, candidate will be required to entertain worldwide audience. Once promoted, job will become merely ceremonial. Full benefits, company paid travel, housing, security and entertainment expenses. Please send resume` to The Democratic National Committee, attn; Nancy Pelosi.
It's Wednesday, so while Obama holds his weekly White House cocktail party, we can only imagine what it must be like to be one of the guests. Supposedly these parties are an opportunity to discuss current issues and to network with different mindsets. A chance to share intelligent ideas and display the great minds of today. I only hope the President can walk and nibble high priced canapes at the same time without spilling his champagne.

Behind the Styrofoam Facade.
President Obama, as a candidate, swept through Europe to massive crowds and was greeted as if it was the second coming. Obama supposedly represented the European ideal leader: Articulate, eloquent, gracious and brilliant. Where did that man go?
First there was the shabby treatment to our closest ally, Great Britain. Following on the heals of one of the most expensive White House events in honor of campaign donor and volunteer, Stevie Wonder, the Prime Minister was subjected to a third rate meeting and a cancellation of a joint press conference. One can only wonder if the teleprompter was in the shop that day, or if the President's writers were just too unsure of what questions to anticipate from the British press and therefore didn't know what to have ready to load into the prompter. Then, to ad insult to injury, the President presented Mr. Brown with a stack of American DVD's. He also gave back the bust of Winston Churchill that Tony Blair had presented to President Bush. Mr. Brown's gift was a desk set carved from the sister ship of the Resolute, the ship of which the President's desk is carved. Brown's wife gave the President Obama's daughters designer outfits made by British designers. In response, Obama gave the Brown's children a toy model of Marine one from the White House gift shop.
We can write off the bad protocol and planning of the Brown visit as 'first visit errors'. Then came the second visit blunders. On Tuesday, St. Patrick's day, the Obama's hosted the traditional holiday visit of the Prime Minister of Ireland. In anticipation, Mrs. Obama had the White House fountains dyed green. A nice personal Chicago welcome. But then came the mishaps. First, someone forgot to change speeches on President Obama's teleprompter causing Prime Minister Cowen to repeat Obama's speech. Then, another slip up, and as Obama was supposed to thank Mr. Cowen, he thanked himself instead. To top the evening off, the President made a rather insulting slur toward the Irish. He warned the guests, many Irish in respect of the guest, to be careful of the open-bar and not to end up dancing with lampshades on their heads. Had this been President Bush he would have been called a racist idiot and been hung out to dry by the media. However, Obama's brothers and sisters in the media just cringed and ducked out of sight. I don't think the Prime Minister came to the Obama White House expecting 'watermelon and fried chicken washed down by gin and juice or Hennesy and coke' on the menu.
The words to describe candidate Obama seem to have been thrown in the trash with those Styrofoam pillars and American flags in Denver. Where is that "Kennedy style" we were promised? The Obamas seem to be too concerned with entertaining their friends with kobe beef and Veuve Cliqot Champagne than with presenting the best of America to our visiting dignitaries. This supposed scholar president seems to have missed reading Emily Post. The "new way of doing things" that Obama spoke of when describing the "Change" he was bringing to the White House isn't NEW at all. I am sure it is the way an arrogant community organizer in Chicago ran things. Unfortunately he is the President now. And by doing things the way he always has just leaves the impression that he has little respect for the office of the presidency. Either that or he is in it way over his head.

Tennis Anyone?
I have been reading all of the editorials and articles about President Obama and the teleprompters. Since our new president is supposedly the most eloquent and gifted speaker we have ever been blessed with to grace our White House, I have been trying to find at least one shred of evidence of his talent.
His friends in the media have been selling Obama's "gift" to us since he addressed the 2004 Democrat convention. Even Rush Limbaugh agrees that he is an eloquent speaker. I respectfully disagree with Mr. Limbaugh, the liberal media and the rest of the Obama Kool-aid crowd.
Today I watched as our president gave a speech on education that was televised. He never once looked at the camera. Instead, his head turned from left to right to left to right, etc. It looked as if he was watching a tennis match. You could turn the sound off and almost hear the announcer at Wimbledon. I also took notice that he never changes facial expressions. If you didn't speak English you wouldn't know if he was talking about the "dire economy" or "hope for our children". He was so afraid to take his eyes off the teleprompter. It's frightening to think that this man cannot speak from his heart and memorize a few lines.
Gifted speakers do not read scripts. The gift is that they can communicate by connecting their the heart with the brain and allowing emotion to come through. While the teleprompter has been around through several administrations, it has never been used in the way it is being used by President Obama. Is this a sign of where communication is going?
With hand held communication devices, texting and email, have we become so addicted to reading type that we are willing to sacrifice true passion in speaking and speech-making for monotone reading of prepared monologues? Is Barack Obama to be the father of electronic delivery? We no longer seek a 'Great communicator' just a good reader? Is this yet another step in the dumbing down of America, so that everyone gets a chance to be president?
I have a fantasy. President Obama is in the middle of a well written State of the Union speech. His head is going back and forth from screen to screen when all of a sudden the screen goes blank. In his over confidence he has depended completely on the teleprompter and has to wait for someone to deliver him a paper copy of his speech. As he fuddles with the pages and buries his head in the podium, all of America would see the true Barack Obama. "Um, uh ahh, um I, uh". It would be too funny. But until then, have a little fun the next time Obama gives a speech: Watch the tennis match!

Positive Change
In these days of economic turmoil, political upheaval, and lack of experienced leaders, it's easy to become cynical. Pointing out the huge errors of the Obama administration and it's allies is quite easy. And while it keeps us informed and keeps up the drumbeat of anti-socialism, it can put us into a non-creative and hopeless mood. Let me change that today, and as often as I can.
With all of the uncertainty at this time in our nation's history I can't help but reflect on similar times in our past and see great opportunities for our future. Out of the disaster of the Carter years, with failed international diplomacy and failed domestic policy, the Reagan revolution was born. The false perception that Carter was going to change "business-as-usual" in Washington soon revealed an arrogant president who alienated not only his own party, but the American public. Ronald Reagan's message of "Government IS the problem" became clear in contrast to Carter's 'government is the solution'. One can't help but wonder who the standard bearer will be to lead us as we march against the out-of-control spending and catastrophic expansion of our government of the Obama administration. I am sure it will be a person who's optimistic words can drive Wall street's numbers to new heights.
Creativity thrives in times of depression and suppression by our government. Just read the many millions of blogs and you will see written words and artistic creations communicating the opposition to the socialist reforms we are now being subjected to. Join the chorus. Lift your voice in the name of freedom and capitalism.
Out of the ashes of this economy will come new opportunity for business and technology. And I am not talking about windmills and solar panels. With the growth of technology reducing the workforce, new sources of employment are needed. The obvious ones are tech support and maintenance. But forward thinking will see that these too are being replaced. The search is on for creating jobs that require the physical hand of mankind. We must put people back to work permanently. Create jobs for our growing populations that will last a lifetime. We can't all be elected to congress.
The trillionairs of tomorrow will be the men and women who can create jobs in uncharted territories. A hundred years ago nobody would have dreamed we would have airlines and movie studios that employ millions.
These are times that challenge us. That build a character in us that, a short time ago, would have been unimaginable. These are times that set Americans apart from the rest of the world. We seem to have temporarily lost our mojo. Over two hundred years of a free capitalist society has taught us to regroup, analyze and chart a new course. Our history proves our ability. Our destiny will make history.

The Audacity of Hypocracy.
So the President is now taking on special interest groups and lobbyists. Is he taking on the same ones he just gave jobs to in his administration?
Our President seems to say a lot of things that contradict his actions. Is he unaware? Or does he just think the American populace is just too stupid to notice?
The President has also revealed his troop reduction timetable and plan to leave a permanent military force in Iraq. The President that began his campaign with an attack on the war in Iraq and by telling his followers that we needed to pull out immediately, has now seen the light of the Bush administration. No change from one administration to the next. Score one for the Bush legacy
On Monday President Obama will sign the $410 budget bill. After repeatedly claiming he would veto all pork and earmarks, he is now "holding his nose" and signing this bill to "get America moving". There are 9000 earmarks in this budget bill.
For those people who voted for Obama because he was going to "Change the way things are done in Washington", you fell for the oldest line in the Republic. And by the 'mainstream media' NOT calling the President out for these broken promises, business as usual is being encouraged over real change. The only change here is the (D) for the (R). Fortunately for us, President Obama doesn't think he will be held accountable for his actions.
As a side note. Imagine a President, in hard economic times, imposing a pay cut on all White House staffers. At the same time ratcheting up the White House entertaining under the guise that it is the "people's house", and the people need to experience it. Fiddling away as Rome burns. This was the White House of Herbert Hoover. This is the White House of Barack Obama. Both very popular men when elected. Both originally believed to be the only man who could cure the countries woes. Both with a self-confidence bordering on mega-ego. The bigger they are, the harder they fall.

Hey Governor! Butt out!
She's at it again! Jennifer Granholm has found another small business to over tax and force out of the state. The tobacco shop owner.
The woman who just two months ago said there would be no new taxes or fees in her budget has decided to tax loose tobacco and cigars. Remember, don't believe what she says, she's an actress, it's just another scene for her. Her latest role is as a saviour to of the low-income children. She wants to put the cost of free health care of the poor on the back of the people who are struggling to pay their own health care costs and to keep their paychecks coming in. These aren't wealthy business owners who own the small tobacco shops. This is a direct tax on the shrinking middle class. I don't know of any Walmart size tobacco shop chain. (However, when this tax hits the small independent tobacco shops, I am sure Walmart will start carrying Chinese tobacco.)
Jennifer Granholm likes to play the role of champion of your health. Her massive cigarette taxes are to get you to pay for our states schools or quit smoking. However. She also wants to extend the hours for liquor sales to 4 a.m. I guess she doesn't seem too concerned about increasing the number of alcohol related deaths by sending really drunk people out on to the roads in the early hours of the morning.
The greedy tax and spend governor has a huge wish list from the bailout bill. With liberals, it's never enough. She even wants the money turned down by other governors. After all, to her, it's free money. Of course the growing deficit will be no fault of her party. She needs to study economics a little better. Perhaps her next role should be of student.
I wonder how the tobacco shop owners feel about all of the tax breaks the governor has handed to her Hollywood buddies to come to Michigan? Granholm thinks the movie industry is going to bring Michigan a windfall of revenue like it does California. Ask Arnold and the California legislature how much money Hollywood brings to California.
I propose a new role for our governor. A role once played by Gray Davis. RE-CALLED GOVERNOR. She wants Michigan to be like her former home, California. Let's help her. If they can recall a governor who can't run the state then so can we. Enough is enough! If the voters in this state asked themselves yearly 'are you better off now then you were last year?' she would fail every year. Our state missed the economic upswing that could have helped sustain us through this downturn. Many of our businesses were forced to move to states where business is encouraged, not punished. Look what she has left us with. And now another business will be packing up and leaving to a more viable market if she gets this new tax through. Again, her greed is going to cost us. Loose tobacco sales have gone up as people try to cut costs. That means the tax revenue from loose tobacco has also increased. So as usual, Granholm sees her cue to tax it to death. SHE'S AN IDIOT!!
Let the Governor know she is an IDIOT! Perhaps if she gets enough letters and phone calls letting her know she is an IDIOT, she will beg President Obama to make her ambassador to the Netherlands so she can watch the windmills turn. And we will be saved the cost of a recall election. And besides, the Lt. Governor looks like he enjoys a good cigar.

Let the Socialism begin!
President Obama once again made history today by signing the biggest spending bill ever. Add the amount of this bill to the half of the last one that President Bush left Obama and he will be the first trillion dollar president. And he's only been in office for less than a month. Next week he will be submitting his budget. Then he's going to talk about reducing the deficit. Ha!
The programs in the bailout bill are quite "necessary" according to Obama. Like the millions to look into expanding the wetlands of Nancy Pelosi's home district. I get the feeling that this bill trades my social security for windmills.
Forty-six states are now claiming to be having a critical budget crisis. California is leading the pack. I guess they ran out of money to pay health insurance to illegal aliens and to pay for every one's college education. it seems all of America has their hand out. In Michigan, our governor based her whole budget on funds she banked on receiving from the bail out bill. Where is the responsibility? And why does every state need billions of dollars to survive? This is the result of the "blame someone else" culture. And the fairness in lending practices of our Federal government. 'If they can have it then I should have it too!' If we stopped lending to be fair and started lending to get a good return on our investment we wouldn't be in this mess.
President Obama likes to spend money. You can bet this isn't the last of his spending bills. It will be interesting to hear how he plans to reduce the deficit. I am inclined to believe he will attempt to do it the way he does everything else; He'll talk about it. Meanwhile, in 2012 we will have the largest deficit and most inflated government ever. Which gives quite a lot of hope for any Republican who plans to run against Obama. Not bad having a campaign platform against the president only a month into his term.
