President Obama is making headlines because, once again, he is going to give a speech. Dust off the Styrofoam columns. Bus in the cheerleaders. Supply the leftist media with their talking points. Mr. Staccato is going to send a tingle up our legs with his mind-numbing 'eloquence' and his 'brilliant' ability to read a teleprompter. Nero fiddled while Rome burned. Obama reads speeches while America crumbles.
As the 'media' gets ready to make the President's speech to congress a magical turning point for Obama (regardless of what he even says), national unemployment has exceeded the 8% cap he predicted if his massive stimulus was passed. Cash-for-Clunkers only helped Americans with jobs overwhelmingly purchase cars made by Honda and Toyota. And the cash they used was your tax dollars! The dealers want to know when the Obama administration is going to give them their Clunker cash. I want to know when the American taxpayer is going to be paid back for the $3,500 to $4,500 per car purchased?
Obama seems to have mistaken the job of President with that of a Director of Human Resources. We fought a war to get out from under the oppression of self anointed individuals and their titled land Barons. Now Obama is sidestepping article II section 2 of the constitution by creating more Czars then the house of Romanov.
The stagnant economy is the direct result of an environment in which only select industry is being allowed to grow. Obama is solely focused on his agenda of "green energy" and nationalized health care.
I can't help but wonder if the administration is so concerned about getting us to use less fuel and become environmentally conscious, then why not make massive tax cuts for small businesses and new start up businesses? Encouraging people to bring business closer to home would create more local villages with jobs requiring less travel time and energy use. Allowing these businesses to join together to purchase private health insurance would take the cost away from the tax-payer and make it affordable to the participants. Sometimes you have to look back at what worked in the past to map out a plan for the future. Theory's and thesis` won't stimulate the economy. Investment and confidence in sound, proven actions will.
President Obama needs to put aside his left-wing pipe dream for the sake of much needed massive job creation in ALL fields, not just those chosen by Al Gore and Ted Kennedy. Enough of the speeches trying to justify a radical agenda that didn't work in eighty years in Russia. Even the Chinese are driving Lexus` in Beijing as they build up their major cities. How can the nation of "sweatshops" and "low cost manufacturing" afford to loan us billions? Capitalism. We should try it sometime.
