They Just Don't Get Us.

The sound you are hearing is the left-wing spin of the media as they try to distance President Obama from to huge losses last night. On Sunday they were hailing the power of the Great Obama and his ability to bring the voters to John Corzine. They blamed Creigh Deeds for his inability to be as effective a campaigner as Obama so they and the President threw Deeds under the bus long before the polls even opened. Now, both Corzine and Deeds are being vilified by the Obama cult as having disgraced their Messiah on the one year anniversary of Obama's election with their losses.

The spin from New York 23 is that "the Republican party is in disarray". The reality is that a Democrat dressed in Republican clothing was exposed. A third party conservative candidate had a strong showing. Though a Democrat won, it is only for a year. This race is symbolic for the entire Republican party. The turning point. We have been reminded by Sarah Palin and Tim Pawlenty that we are Conservatives first, by our convictions, and Republicans only by our voter registration. The national and state parties need to read the message that we will not sit back and accept any Republican who they endorse. We will no longer just vote for any candidate with an (R) after their name. We are watching how they vote. We are watching what they do. The lesson from the 2008 election was that a moderate Republican CAN'T WIN. Gerald Ford was the last moderate Republican Presidential candidate and he was NEVER ELECTED to the presidency.

What the media doesn't get is that the sleeping conservative movement has been awakened and motivated. We have tasted victory in Virginia and New Jersey. The Conservative message is a clear message that attracts independents.(In contrast to the gray, moderate McCain message of "We'll do that too!") Putting the power back in the hands of the states. Using fiscal restraint to allow private commerce to grow and with it jobs and generated tax dollars. The Liberal message of the Obama administration is that we cannot make decisions on health care, jobs creation and energy usage for ourselves and that the federal nanny state must take them over. Let Obama, Harry and Nancy bang that drum for the next 12 months. It's to that drum that we will march back to more governor's mansion, state houses, and the capitol in the 2010 election.
