The Jackass Party

I am scratching my head as I read about the "Clean Energy and Security Act" that Snidely Whiplash...I mean Henry Waxman and Czarina Pelosi are trying to push through congress. The fact that it's the work of two extreme left Californians should be enough reason for the rest of the house to vote "NO". See what good environmental regulation strangulation has done for the once thriving economy of California. Now they want it for the rest of the nation.

What really amazes me is that it is designed for areas like L.A. Force people to use less energy by taxing it out of affordability. That might be fine for sunny California, but in the cold, snowy winters of Michigan, we already struggle to pay exorbitant heating costs just to keep the thermostat at 62 degrees on a single digit day. Nancy and Henry should be forced to live in North Dakota in the winter on a minimum wage paycheck before they are allowed to even think of writing this type of bill. Just how far up their asses does Al "The sky is falling so buy my carbon offsets" Gore have his hands?

I do have faith in those sensible Democrats who are the real soul of their party. The ones with common sense like Harry Truman, who legislate as a representative of the people, not the special interests. I truly hope they will join the Republicans and vote this dictatorial bill down.

If this vote passes I will be interested to see how many people will be joining me in storming the capitol after the mega heating bills start coming this winter. The Republican party is practically being handed back the control of congress in the 2010 election. Nancy and Barack have thrown bi-partisan out with oil, coal, and private industry. And by doing this they are giving the Republican party a uniting issue and a standard to bear. Big Sister will be stopped! And it may happen before her party of asses is set out to pasture.

It's Almost 3 A.M.

Is he ready for that call? Is his Secretary of State? She's the one who posed the question of his readiness to "take the 3 A.M. call". The clock is ticking away...

I am wondering just who President Obama would "sit down with" to discuss the situation in Iran? The one who stole the election? The one who really leads and backed the stolen election? Perhaps the candidate who, according to the Iranian government lost "soundly"? -If he survives. Protesters are asking "Where's Obama?" in the streets of Tehren. After his last world apology tour he seems to have struck a cord of "Change" with the Iranian democracy movement. Why is he now backing off?

Japanese and South Korean intelligence have announced findings that North Korea plans to aim and shoot it's next missile toward Hawaii. Does the U.S. believe these reports? Defense Secretary Gates is moving interceptors to the islands. Looks like a solid YES. Perhaps the senile despot is just upset that Obama hasn't come to sit down and talk with him.

"Words. Just Words". President Obama used this during his campaign. Now it is coming back to haunt him. The king of image has used a lot of words here at home and through the middle east and Europe. Unfortunately, a U.S. President's words have consequences. Theodore Roosevelt's philosophy of "Speak softly, but carry a big stick" seems to have been sent packing with George W. Bush. The new policy seems to be 'Read eloquent words off the teleprompter and let the chips fall as they may'. I'm just afraid President Obama will reach for the big stick when it's too late.

The "Axis of Evil" seem to be doing their best to maintain their title. And President Obama is getting a real lesson on why George Bush's policies were the correct way to deal with these dictators and why Obama's own idealistic view of creating a world utopia purely by the sacred words that fall from his lips needs to fall by the wayside along with the campaign signs, slogans and Styrofoam pillars.

The True Test of Leadership

This will be the summer that defines the leadership of Barack Obama.

North Korea is at a boiling point. Playing his usual game of 'nuclear threats to gain more financial aid so he can continue to fund his weapons cache`', Kim Jong il will find there are very few extra dollars available to be used as a payoff to shut him up. With our deficit now in the multiple trillions, will Obama use our tax dollars for "Humanitarian aid" to pacify this idiot? Stay tuned...

Iran may be teetering on a revolution. With yesterdays election results called into question as valid, Ahmadinejad's opponent is calling for civil disobedience against the dictator. Will the real power in Iran, the religious zealots who really run things, step in? Will they allow the elections results to be examined? Will Israel use the opportunity of civil infighting to take out those nuke plants? Will Obama send Hillary as an envoy to "sit down with" whoever seems to be in power? Time will tell...

Will the government takeover of General Motors, the sale of Chrysler to Fiat, and the push to make us drive "earth friendly" cars, turn the auto market around? Will most people choose the security of owning a new Ford over a government owned model? If Chrysler is now owned by an Italian company, is it now off the preferred "buy American" choice list? Will the President try to micro-manage the new "Government Motors" by dictating what they produce? Will Al Gore be the new CEO? (Probably unlikely on the Gore thing, but it really wouldn't surprise me.)

Will pay-for-play, which was already tried by President George H.W. Bush but dismantled by the Democrat congress, be exposed as the smoke and mirrors it is by a continuing out of control deficit?

Government health care is coming. Will the Democrats unplug Ted Kennedy to make him a martyr for the passage of this final turnover to socialism?

Will Muslim extremists retaliate to Obama's bowing and scraping to the very Arab leaders who they feel have oppressed them and forced western ways on their cultures? Are we as safe now as we were one year ago?

This summer will show what kind of leader Barack Obama is. So far he seems to delegate more than any president in recent history by creating more "Czars" than the Romanov's. He has fallen for the pomp and pageantry. He plays to his own media and seems to be in more awe of President Obama than he was in candidate or Senator Obama. Will he be forced to make a decision that the media and his supporters DON'T like at the sake of his popularity? Only time and Obama will tell...

Let Us Eat Cake!

The Obamas took a $24,000 trip to the theater. And we paid for it!
The White House said "President Obama promised his wife dinner and a play". Perhaps someone should inform the President of the Washington D.C. theater community and of the many top notch restaurants all over our nation's capitol. It would have been much easier on our wallets. But when your used to tossing out trillions on wasteful buyouts and socialist programs, whats 24 thousand?
This "power couple" seems to feel very entitled to the finer things in life. Every Wednesday night they throw a lavish White House cocktail party with top notch champagne, caviar and celebrities dancing to big name entertainers. No doubt Mrs. Obama wears shoes a little dressier than her $500 tennis shoes.
The poor Obama's have both been known to take off at a moments notice to get away from the "pressures of the White House". Their first escape was a week after the inauguration. It looks to me that the man who desperately wanted to be president is now seeing the reality of the job. I think his idea of the presidency was what he saw on "The West Wing".
As for their trip to New York. The way they describe it is they just went out for date night. However, contrary to secret service policy, the entire route from the restaurant to the theater was revealed before hand and crowds were allowed to line up on the side walks. Extra police had to be brought in to increase the first couple's security. So much for a quite, romantic night out. Meanwhile, because of the second automaker bankruptcy, the unemployment numbers are going to take another leap. I wonder if those people who voted for Obama to save their union jobs, who now find themselves having to "sacrifice" their employment for the good of the environmental rantings of Al Gore and Nancy Pelosi, will be dinning out or attending a Broadway show? I suppose they can just eat cake!
