The Final Judgement of Ted Kennedy

On the night of July 18th 1969 Senator Ted Kennedy, intoxicated after leaving a regatta party, drove his car off a bridge at Chappaquiddick, Massachusetts. He escaped the sinking Oldsmobile and fled the scene, leaving behind Kennedy secretary Mary Jo Kopechne who drowned because of his failure to rescue her. Kennedy didn't notify authorities or rescue workers until 10 hours later. Two fishermen found the upside down car the next morning and called the sheriff. Divers discovered Ms. Kopechnes body pressed up toward the top where an air pocket would have been, which means she was alive at the time Senator Kennedy fled the scene. Kennedy did not inform the local authorities until he received news that the car and Ms. Kopechne's body had been found. In a statement released by the Senator he said "I attempted to open the door and the window of the car but have no recollection of how I got out of the car." Kennedy plead guilt to leaving the scene of an accident causing "injury". His sentence was suspended due to the citing of his age (38), character and reputation. (Just a reminder that Senator Kennedy would continue to be seen in public highly intoxicated and with young women for the next twenty years. Now he had a driver.)

To treat a case of manslaughter and failure to notify rescue workers as causing "injury" and to suspend sentence of a known alcoholic because of "reputation" is a travesty. Kennedy money (Ted gave Mary Jo's family $90,904 for their troubles. They also received $50,000 from the insurance company. They said they didn't pursue legal action against Kennedy because "we figured people would think we were looking for blood money") No autopsy was ever performed.

To combat the nickname "The Coward of Chappaquiddick", Kennedy aids marketed him as the "Lion of the Senate". Kennedy would continue his drunken parties from Hyannis Port to Miami well into the nineteen eighties.

Through his life Kennedy would be known as the Liberal champion of the poor. All the while spending 47 years in the U.S. Senate living off of tax-payer dollars and enjoying every perk that comes with the exclusive Senate club. Ted was never known as being generous with his Kennedy money, he felt that spending tax-payer dollars by 'spreading the wealth' was his calling and his good deed. This typical 'Limousine Liberal' had the hypocritical Catholic martyr complex.

Today Ted Kennedy will stand before God and be judged for his actions. I just hope Mary Jo Kopechne is given equal time.

Make Your Own Decision

While the debate lingers on about Health Care Reform, I am finding that when you contact your representative for answers you get more vague rhetoric and a shell game played with HR3200, the bill that came out of the Energy and Commerce committee and was almost put to a vote by the house before they left for the August recess. You know the bill, it's the one President Obama demanded be passed before the house adjourned. The one Nancy Pelosi said she had the votes to pass. There were no other house bills to come out of committee. So where is the confusion? I realize that now the Senate will produce theirs, but this is the so-called "peoples" bill. And I am sure the Kennedy bill in the senate isn't much different. I have read HR3200. The "end of life counseling can be taken several ways, so I am not sure I see an endorsement for assisted suicide. What I do see is an amazing amount of government control at a cost that is sure to bankrupt the U.S. taxpayer. It's not their money, so what does congress care? If you have government trained and paid health care workers, counselors, Dentists, Dental assistants, social workers, hospice workers, assisted living aides and advisers, then you have a GOVERNMENT RUN HEALTH CARE SYSTEM. This bill even allows for house calls to mothers with children. I am sure you know which program the mommies would opt for if they didn't have to wait at the doctor's office.

So read it for yourself. Check the facts. Remember, even Obama doesn't know what is in it. He doesn't even know who supports it. Yesterday he lied three times and said that AARP supports it. AARP said they haven't made any endorsement.

Copy and paste this and you will get HR3200 in PDF

The Democratic Party Town Hall Meeting

It seems the Democrats are going to do to the American people what they did to their colleagues in congress. Shut us out.

Reacting to the constant barrage of informed tax-payers questioning the socialist leaning government take over of the our health care, the so called "Town Hall" meetings are being replaced with conference calls or one-on-one calls with supporters. If they are not replaced, they are completely eliminated. The great state of Michigan only had one opportunity for questions when John Dingell refused to answer why a mans wheel-chair bound son would not be able to get medical help under the government plan. John Dingell's answer was that there are many bills in congress. Theres only one bill that is being sought passage for congressman. It's the one you admit to having not read entirely. And your one of the authors of it!

While I do get most of my editorial briefings from FOX news and Rush Limbaugh, I do keep an eye and ear to what the other side is saying. Then, as an equal opportunity voter, I look at the evidence. And here are the most obvious facts that put the Democrats in a light of questionable character:

If this plan is so important for America then why are they not quoting it verbatim as the brilliant savior of the health and welfare of America they claim it is? Why hasn't one Democrat said "I have read the bill and I am thoroughly satisfied with it's content"? Instead, we here "I don't have the time to read all 1,000 plus pages". It's your recess congressman. Sounds like a good time to get caught up on your reading.

If they truly want this to be "Bi-partisan", then why don't they hold bi-partisan town hall meetings? One Democrat member of congress and one opposing Republican. It would certainly maintain a little order. Instead, these meetings are filled with local UAW members holding tax-payer printed placards saying "We All Need Health care" before the doors to the general public even open. Many who go to these meetings are not allowed in. If the meeting is so important, then why don't the people holding these meeting go out and at least meet the overflow crowds?

Why do they feel they must rush this to a vote? According to the bill it won't take effect until 2013. It won't give anyone health care coverage any faster if it's delayed a couple of months to allow congress and the voters enough time to study it. To me, the rush appears to be an attempt to get this passed quick enough to be forgotten by the 2010 elections. That way they can say "We passed a health care plan and nobody was hurt" (...because we wouldn't see the damage until AFTER Obama was re-elected)

I certainly hope my congresswoman holds a town hall meeting because I would like to attend. I might even send a bill for my attendance to the health insurance companies that Nancy Pelosi is claiming to be paying us troublemakers. She doesn't mention that the drug companies are investing $200 million to pass this legislation as it will payoff in their return with tax dollars and members of congress to lobby.(If you an I were supporting the plan at the town halls they would call us community activists.)

History constantly repeats itself when we don't learn from it. The Democrats, it seems, didn't learn from their actions in the first two years of Bill Clinton's term when Democrats still maintained their 40 year hold on congress. The media was shocked at the outcome of the 1994 elections. And they sound very similar today with their constant comments about the Republicans being "disorganized", "without a leader" and "out of touch". It will amaze them how organized and in touch the Republican party will be when the American voter lines up behind the rallying cry of anti-socialized medicine, anti-suppression of free speech and anti-Orwellian tactics of dis-information.

My Obama Kool-ade Trip

Last night I had a dream that I took a sip of the kool-ade.

I found myself in darkness. Must have been the darkness and despair of the tyrannical Bush years. Suddenly, the media put their spotlight on a recycled Styrofoam cup that had the words "drink me" printed on it. Television monitors suddenly appeared all around me. "Drink it" flashed on all the screens. Newspapers unfurled from above with the words "Drink it" in bold black headlines. What else could I do? So I did as the media advised me and took a sip.

Suddenly the world was awash in a rose colored acid trip. Generations of hippies and flower children began to sing "We Shall Overcome" as they watched the Messiah appear from the Senate temple. On either side of him, God engraved words onto tablets in which the great one read with such eloquence and profundity. "You deserve a new car" the Obamassiah said. Then he pulled bags of money out of his butt and threw it to the masses. "Your home shall be paid for" and more money came out of his butt. "You are entitled to free health care", but he couldn't squeeze any more money out, so the crowd began to feed him their wallets. More money came out of his butt.

Then the great leader walked to Iran and took the hand of it's president. They then walked to North Korea and picked up Kim Jong and then headed for Russia. Soon all of the worlds despots and tyrants were laying down their arms and joining the Obamassiah in singing while they melted down all the guns in the world and turning them into windmills. They locked up the evil rich white CEO's and took over their companies so they could use their profits to pay reparations to all of the victims of corporate "Unfairness".

As the members of the media and Hollywood "activists" lined up to pay homage to the Obamassiah by offering their souls in exchange for just one more cup of Kool-ade, I was shaken from the awe of the Obamassiah's glowing halo by the sound of my alarm clock. Thank God it was just a dream.

I sipped the bitter reality of my morning coffee and enjoyed the cherished freedom of blogging the tale of my nightmarish, but all too vivid journey in the shoes of those who choose to live by the dictates of the chosen one. Give me coffee over Kool-ade anytime!
